http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/d/d5/Wizard_oz_movieposter.jpgToday’s topic is centered on the movie The Wizard of Oz.  I’m sure you have seen this movie, maybe numbers of times through the years.

Today we’re looking at it from a little different perspective.  How would this movie be interpreted as a dream?  I think this process will be quite fascinating, as we look at Dorothy, the tin man who was in search of a heart, the lion who thought he lacked courage and the scarecrow who wanted a brain.  What do these characters in the dream represent in the Universal language of Mind?  And what does the wizard represent?

And then we have a whole different dream theme to explore; trying to get home.  Have you ever had dreams of trying to get home?  I know I have. Just last week I interpreted a dream for one of my students where he was trying to get home.  In my dream I was in an airport trying to find the right flight to get me home.

    INCEPTION

    --> -->

Have you seen the movie Inception?  It seems to be the most talked-about movie of the year!  Portraying many levels of dreaming, the film weaves many questions about life, reality, truth, trust, security (and more!) into its complex scenarios.

  • Can we "wake up" in dreams to have a dream-within-a-dream?
  • Is it possible to get lost in the subconscious mind?
  • Can we plant thoughts in another person's mind?
  • How does one tell when one is dreaming and know what is "real"?

You can discuss these and other questions on this interactive message board.

This month's focus is the dream consciousness circuit. Nightly messages provide insight that can be applied to waking experiences. Waking experiences provide opportunities for awareness that are reflected through dreams. In REAL TIME with a TEACHER you will learn to apply the dream's message to your waking life.

Every dream is significant when you have the eyes to see.

A dream not interpreted is like a letter not opened.

Read 10 dreams from the recent GLiDE.  One hundred fifty-nine people participated in a three-day experiment exploring the capacity for inner and outer harmony.  Here we post ten of those dreams along with the dreamer's comments.  Feel free to read and reply to those offering special insight.

Here are some ideas for discussion you might consider:

  • What do you see in the dreams?  Patterns?  Insights?  Familiarities?
  • Do any of the dreams mirror those you had during this time?

  • Are you seeing similarities in these dreams?

  • What do you think the dreams mean?

We look forward to hearing your thoughts, and your harmonic dreams!
