Welcome to the future of consciousness

Becoming a Dreamologist

Dreams come to us whether we are young or old, rich or poor, male or female, happy or sad, spiritual or material. They show no favoritism. This is a testament to the universal nature of dreaming.

How we think about the people, places, and things in our everyday lives is reflected back to us through the images in our dreams. If two people have exactly the same dream, the message can be very different owing to both the universal and personal nature of dreaming.

Becoming a dream interpreter can be learned at any age, by anyone. The School of Metaphysics has been teaching dream interpretation as part of its course of study since 1973. These courses contain the information and practices for you to learn how to:

•develop conscious dream recall.

•translate dream symbols into the Universal Language of Mind,

•interpret the energies present in dreams

•formulate relevant and productive responses to dream communications.

When we initiated the National Dream Hotline® in 1989, we set the goal of interpreting a dream for every man, woman and child on the planet. Inherent in this desire is the ideal of teaching people to know how to interpret their own dreams. When you have fulfilled all requirements for certification as a dreamologist, you will possess one of the most valuable skills anyone can master – interpreting dreams!

About our courses
There is much more to life and the universe than what you experience with the five senses of the physical body . The five senses do not normally register ultraviolet radiation at one end of the light spectrum nor infrared light at the other end of the light spectrum so we say they do not see them. Some people say they do not exist at all.

The five senses are wonderful mechanisms that have been developed over millions of years of evolution as a part of the body-vehicle of our species called Homo-sapiens. Yet, these same five senses are only capable of receiving a small portion of the available light spectrum of experience.

Dreams provide the individual access to knowledge and experience that is not available to the five senses and is therefore not a part of humanity’s normal everyday experience.

We use one or more of these five senses to communicate. We communicate by forming a picture or mental image in our mind’s eye and then choosing words to describe the thought in our head. This is a somewhat clumsy form of communication. The subconscious mind, not having the five physical senses doesn’t need to communicate in words but instead communicates directly by forming a mental image and transferring that mental image directly to the receiver. This is the Universal Language of Mind – the language of function.

At the School of Metaphysics, we invested 40 years in developing an understanding of this language. Understanding your dreams is a very important key to understanding the inner Self. By coming to know the inner Self you become much more effective in your waking, physical, day-to-day life.

The subconscious mind is like a new universe waiting to be discovered. The Universal Language of the inner mind enables your experiences there to make sense. Every time you record a dream in your dream journal you will gain greater awareness of your subconscious mind. The more you learn to interpret your dreams, the more you will come to know your Self. The more you come to know your Self, the more you will understand others and your place in the world.
