Peace; Its Free!
There’s a wonderful thing about peace, you know,
IT’S FREE!
Though it’s worth far more than all the gold.
This battered and tattered old world can hold,
IT’S FREE!
Now here’s some news to open your eyes.
Try tolerance, compassion and compromise.
You’ll find that peace holds a big surprise,
IT’S FREE!
Stack the weapons of war and let them rust.
For their usage brings only shame and disgust.
And peace can be had by only the thrust,
IT’S FREE!
Peace will come to one who forgets,
All the past prejudices and frets.
Mercy is showered on any who lets,
Hate and strife be like canceled debts.
On the blessings of peace place all your bets.
For the more one gives, the more one gets,
IT’S FREE!
