HALLOWEEN BATHROOM DECOR

Dream

Dream Date: 6/20/10

My dream starts out that I have decorated my bathroom for Halloween. I had four decorations. One was a life-size statue made of wire or metal. It looked like a scary man. Another was a wind-up figure that played scary music, and a bat, and something else I can’t remember.

I left and went to my daughter’s school to eat breakfast with her. I got my tray and dropped it and picked it up, then dropped the second one. My daughter went and got a broom to clean what I didn’t get completely and wasn't real happy about it.

I came home and went into the bathroom, and the statue was holding the wind-up figure and spinning around and around, trying to turn it on. I took it out of his hands and put it back on by the sink. I then cut some of his fingers off on his left hand so he could not pick it back up and turn it on.

I went downstairs for awhile and came back to the bathroom, and the wire man was gone. I looked in the bathroom closet which went way back into a narrow hallway that dead-ended at a corner, and I believed he was hiding in there and was an actual, real person.

I went back downtstairs and my fiance and his son were down there. I told my finance the story and he said, “Is my son scared too? Well go find him.” Then I woke up.

Interpretation

This dream is describing how you entertain yourself with your imagination regarding letting go of or releasing things, attitudes, or emotions. Dreams are communications from the soul describing your thoughts and attitudes of the previous day, as they influence your experiences.

Your dream begins by telling you, you were in a place in mind, (the bathroom), to reflect and purify your thoughts, maybe eliminate attitudes that you no longer want. Your thoughts were distracted by your entertaining imagination (bath decorations).

You have had your attention on learning (daughter’s school) with the intention of gaining knowledge in relation to a quality of thinking that your daughter represents. People in a dream are very important because they represent qualities of your self. Your daughter represents a way of thinking you have been developing that isn’t a fully mature part of you yet. You may identify this way of thinking by selecting a word that best describes that quality in her that stands out the most, like kind, assertive, or imaginative. You can identify what your thinking was concerning based on the quality you see in your daughter. This is what you want to develop in your self. Yet by dropping the trays of food repeatedly, this is telling you that you are having trouble in receiving the learning.

As you return to your home and bathroom in the dream, you recognize that your imagination is a distraction. Having a history of being entertained by it, you attempt to alter it, yet since it appears so real you still experience it as a distraction.

Practicing with your ability to concentrate and hold your undivided attention on your focused desires will help you tell the difference between what’s really happening and what you imagine. This will make it easier to let go of old, unproductive thoughts and emotions without getting distracted by them. Then you can also recognize the limitations an unproductive imagination causes.

The School of Metaphysics has schools in Missouri. The SOM course of study can help you master your imagination and change your life.
