I hope you’ve had a chance to read the article on the remote viewing experiment done by advanced students at the College of Metaphysics on the home page of www.dreamschool.org. If not please read it. It is a beautiful study of how the mind is used to perceive as well as an evaluation and self-reflection of what actions of the mind were being used during the experiment.
The School of Metaphysics has been teaching what has come to be known as remote viewing since before its incorporation in 1973. Called astral projection or out-of-body experiences, the process is to direct the consciousness away from a person’s physical body and travel in time and space to another geographical location or time period. This can be done in a sleep or waking state. One of the major attributes of remote viewing is for the purpose of gathering information.
About a year ago I misplaced a very important teaching notebook containing everything needed to teach a series of lessons in the school. At the time I was traveling back and forth between two locations. I would look at one location and not find the notebook. Thinking it was at the other location I would check there when I arrived, and still not find it. I kept doing this as I traveled back and forth from one location to the other for about a month. It was drawing near to class where I absolutely needed this notebook. I told my teacher, Dr. Barbara Condron, I didn’t have my notebook for class, and she said, ”This will be a good opportunity for your classmates to use what they know to help you. When we arrived in class. Dr. Barbara led the group in a remote viewing process. Each of my classmates wrote down what they had perceived and give me their papers. At the first opportunity after the class, I stilled my mind, read all the papers, then followed with a clear and still focus each of the perceived scenarios that my classmates had written of what had happened to the notebook. At one point I entered the print shop. Tad Messenger, our chief printer, was there. As I entered I “happened” to look on a shelf against the wall and saw a white notebook. “Is that your notebook?” I asked Tad. “No, that’s your notebook!” he said. Sure enough it was.
Each of my classmates had some aspect of the scenario of how the notebook got on the self in their perceptions. They had written that the notebook was on a table, in or near the print shop or had been moved by someone. After finding the notebook, I was able to piece the whole scenario together in my mind. I had left the notebook on a table while preparing to leave and became involved in another activity. When I was actually leaving I had forgotten anything about the notebook being on the table. Someone, probably Tad, moved it and put it in the print shop. I was grateful for my classmates aiding me to find the notebook and reported back to them what I had discovered.
This was an example of remote viewing from a conscious mind awake state. The example of the remote viewing experiment of the advanced students was from a dream state. Both are possible and can be done.
What do you know about remote viewing that you would like to share? Have you practiced remote viewing? If so what have been your experiences? Or please share any comments you have about either of the two experiments cited? Looking forward to hearing from you!
I had an experience where I could not get hold of a friend and I sensed something wrong. I gave her my attention and held it there for a while until I felt connected. I felt that she was very upset about something. I did not perceive anything wrong with her physically, so this was some relief. However, there was agitation in her mind and turmoil in her emotions. Eventually, I found that she had been in a car accident in which she was not hurt, nor were the other people. However, there was a very important project that she required transportation to complete and this was a big part of the mental and emotional disturbance that I was perceiving.
I have often tried to extend my mind to someone or something and getting some feedback from the person that I had been concerned about helped validate my experience. With the example you shared and my own, I believe there are some very practical reasons for learning about remote viewing.

Hi,
I read the remote viewing reports ... it shows how powerful practicing mental disciplines can be! Doing such experiments is a good way to learn how to trust mental/intuitive faculties. One of the ways the IASD advocates testing oneself is to put in bold any elements of the dream that seem out of place, and therefore probably indicate the "psi" aspect of the dream. I noted that Hezekiah put the two hearts as an out-of-place element ... seems appropriate since the theme of the dream was two lovers.
I did not participate in this remote viewing dream experiment but have experimented with other remote viewing experiences, such as going to a particular room where someone has placed and object and recording observations of the object. One way to strengthen such abilities is to practice observation, noting one's surroundings, paying attention to details ... it is a good practice for becoming more aware of the environment.
Thanks for sharing these reports. It inspires me to do other experiments like this, to strengthen intuition and develop greater self awareness.
All the best,
Laurel Clark
