Dreamed I was deep in a forest. The trees were very tall - I think it was similar to a pine forest I saw in South Dakota where the branches start stories above the ground.
It was night, but a full moon was shining lighting the way. I was on a very narrow gravel path between the tree trunks, with no extra room to leave the path.
I knew I was headed to a cabin that was mine (can't say whether it was a home or a rental) The path forked and I thought I was heading the right way back to where I belong, but it wasn't long before I was outside a cabin that I knew wasn't were I wanted to be.
My old friend J*male was standing outside and somehow I knew this was his home. J*male said I should stay and although I was a bit uncomfortable with the idea, I went inside with him. A young woman with a long red praire style dress was sitting beside the fireplace with a baby. (I remember thinking - if this were real, his wife would be much older and probably rounder.)
J*male acted a bit surprized to find his wife at home and attempted to act as if everything was normal. It wasn't long before I left, shutting the door behind me. After leaving John behind, it wasn't difficult to find the correct gravel pathway that lead me home (or to where I belong).
Comments: I must interject at this point that J*male and I have a history in real life. J*male and I were very close friends for about 10 years and during the last year we became involved in a long distance romance - he lived over and hour away and we had to travel on rare occasions to see each other - at the end I discovered he had been married all along.
The dream really brought me a feeling of closure on the whole unfortunate incident. It wasn't long after the relationship ended that I decided to start dating someone I had been emailing and occasionally meeting for lunch for over one year. We have been happily married for the last four years! I left it all behind and found my path home.
