POSTED: January 24, 2008
Dear Dreamers,
Our efforts to track the effect of the moon on our dreams has begun. For those of you who participated on January 22, we send our gratitude and encourage you to stay with us all the way to early March.
Some quick facts thus far on our experiment:
168 are currently registered participants. Of these, 115 have sent us Tuesday’s results thus far.
285 have sent us an email of their interest and we have yet to receive demographics that will enable us to include them in the statistics. These people can still participate (see notes below for how).
26 U.S. States are represented
15 countries with Australia, Canada, England, Germany, India, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand, Romania, Scotland, South Africa, Switzerland, Turkey, Bermuda and the U.S.
7 continents are represented thanks to the folks at the Australian Mawson Station in Antarctica.
This response is far-reaching in scope and caliber. Thank you all for signing on for this amazing journey.
We have 12 days until the next experiment. That is plenty of time to spread the word to others who may want to participate. We particularly want more level 1 and 2 dreamers. Perhaps this is a friend or coworker, or maybe even your spouse or children. Please share the idea of exploring the moon’s effect on our dreams through conversations or emails. Anyone who missed the January 22nd date can make their baseline record during the full moon in March. The specific moon does not matter in the research since that moon is a base with no eclipses.
Here is what our projected participation looks like:
• 300 participants that follow through to completion in March
• All U.S. states represented
• 50+ countries represented
Please help spread the word. You can refer them to this website or forward one of the emails we sent to you.
Again thank you for helping to influence the course of history.

The Global Lucid Dreaming Experiment is a series of experiments designed to explore the reality of our dreams.
EXPERIMENTS
No. 1 Tuesday, January 22nd
Full Moon 8:35 am EST
No. 2 Wednesday, February 6th
New Moon 10:44 pm EST
Annular Solar Eclipse

No. 3 Thursday, February 21st
Full Moon 10:30 pm EST
Total Lunar Eclipse
No. 4 Friday, March 7
New Moon 12:14 pm EST
for those who need the fourth-full moon read, the alternate date for January 22 is the full moon of Friday, March 21st 2:40 pm EST
To begin analyzing the effect of the moon on dreaming, we are assembling a global group of dreamers who will report dream activity over the next 2 months. Four specific days are pinpointed (see above), each determined by the phase of the moon. Dreamers will answer three questions:
1. Did you remember a dream?
2. If yes, what occurred in the dream?
3. Was this a lucid dream*?
Those who register before FEBRUARY 3rd can still participate.
