Lucid dreaming is the conscious perception of one’s state while dreaming.

Intentional Element of the 2007 experiment

There are many reasons why people desire the experience of lucid dreams.

The first usually involves the pleasure and excitement of being able to control one's dreams and achieve actions that are not possible in the waking, physical world.

Objectives

To inform and educate general public at large as to the phenomena of dreaming.

To organize dreamers worldwide in a focused time of dreaming.

To collect the largest body of experiential knowledge to date concerning specifically, lucid dreaming.

To prove the global, thus universal, nature of lucid dreaming.

To tabulate and analyze results from the Global Lucid Dreaming Experiment making them public the summer of 2007.

The Hypothesis The premise of this experiment is that lucid dreaming is a universal experience for homo sapiens. The experiment enables a forum to prove that lucid dreaming occurs around the world across cultures, religions, races, ages, and nationalities.
The Experiment

Who: People of all ages

When: Sunday, April 29, 2007 6-9 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time

Where: Across the globe

What: Lucid Dreaming

How: Entering the sleep state and awakening into a dream during the designated three-hour period.

Why: To further humanity's awareness of common Mind experiences and stimulate dialogue and further research and development into humankind's super-normal potential

Researchers

Researchers at the College of Metaphysics in Missouri include Project Coordinator Barbara Condron, Teresa Martin, Daniel Condron, Christine Madar, Kimberlee Otto, Karen Mosby, Tad Messenger, Laurie Biswell, Megan Lytle, Natalie Axberg, Aisha Causey and members of the dreamschool.org staff. This project is sponsored by the School of Metaphysics, a not-for-profit 501(c)3 educational institute of higher learning with branches in the United States and a worldwide membership. The experiment is open to all people on the planet. There is no cost for participation.
