DREAM REPORT

I was sleeping in the dining room at the college. There were several bar stool height chairs lined up in a row on the side of the counter where people would walk if we set the food up buffet style. The chairs had been pushed together so that they formed one long seat where I was laying down. When I "woke up" DM* (male) was finishing making breakfast for me. He slid the plate over toward me (as he was standing in the kitchen by the stove) He told me that DC* (male teacher) had asked him to make that for me so that I could eat when I woke up.

I looked up and noticed that everyone else had already eaten, the dishes were washed, and everyone was seated at the table for class with BC* (female teacher). I took my plate to the table and sat down across from PB* (Female, teacher). BC instructed us to stay with DC in the dining room and then to join you in the dome in a few minutes. When it was time to walk to the dome I said I was going to finish eating and then come alone. PB told me I needed to stay with the group but I refused. She gave me a bit of a short lecture on group consciousness and respect. DC told her to come on and that I would be along after I had eaten, that it was obvious I was not done. They left together and I finished and walked to the dome.

I went to the lower chamber and BC smiled and waved for me to come sit with you around the Mandala. Everyone else was kind of mingling and doing their own thing except for BC and NA* (female student). NA was very focused on laying tiles in the mandala. The Mandala was 3/4 of the way completed. BC told me that she had decided to have everyone at the college lay tiles the entire time the lucid dreaming experiment was happening so that she could have a lot of different colors and sounds for people to experience if they made it to the dome. I could hear the sounds of the tiles being cut and placed by NA and I understood what BC meant about the different senses being engaged.

BC was grinning really big and asked if I had noticed what had happened to the mandala. I looked and at first it was the same as the drawing JM* (male) had made. Then I noticed what BC was trying to show me. The Mandala had changed from its original design to the earth. BC said the mandala had changed on its own because there were so many people drawn to the thought form and the mandala was showing us how we were effecting the planet. She said it was as if each person dreaming with us was laying tiles and this was the result. I sat with BC  and NA for a while as others left the dome.

The next scene was me standing in the hall by ML* (female student) room. BC "popped" up in the middle of the hall and said that I needed to go to class with PB. I was annoyed. I did not want to go to class with her because she was not my teacher. You said I had to, and smiled again. I went to her class and IN* (female student/teacher) was the only person there I recognized. I asked her why you had sent us to class with PB when she was not our teacher. IN said all she knew how to do with the experience was to do what she was told. She said PB told her to go swimming.

I looked up and there was a large pool there but the water was frozen on top. IN went to dive in and I told her that was just the stupidest thing she could do. I was amazed that PB was telling her something so dumb and that IN  was really doing it. I told her that I was not about to do what I was told when it was really a purposeless thing to do. She said it was not purposeless, that it would help neutralize the emotional charge I had with it. I left anyway saying that I was going to find BC and LC (female, dreamer’s teacher) to let BC know I was not going to attend PB’s class. As I left, IN dove in the frozen water through the ice and was standing there watching me.

I found BC in the hall again and said I would rather be with her and that I was not inclined to do what I had been told to do about class unless she or LC could give me a good reason for it. BC started laughing really hard and said that was good. That it was about time I learned to think for myself. BC "popped" away and DC "popped" up and told me I needed to end my dream and wake up now. I did.

DREAM STATE

Recalled dreamstate with depth and clarity.  Given this level of conscious awareness and the dreamer’s study of Mind, this experience is a blend of dream and inner level experience.  It reflects the capacity to experience mind directly and a need to separate the inner worlds.  It brings to mind the old saying “Don’t shoot the messenger”, which means separate the message from the one delivering it, know the source.  This is the next step for this dreamer.

DREAM CONTENT

This dream is symbolic involving all divisions of Mind.  Most of the activity occurs between the dreamer and aspects of either the conscious mind or superconscious mind.  This makes the food prepared by DM* a focal point for the dreamer.  This food was especially prepared for her by direction of the sole male superconscious aspect in the dream and her allotment for eating it makes her actions different from all others in the dream.  Hence the aspect of self DM represents is key to everything else that happens.  It is also the crux of the opposition to PM* which repeats throughout the rest of the dream.

It is worth noting that PM wants to draw the dreamer’s attention away from the learning provided by the subconscious aspect represented by DM.  The dreamer does not allow this to happen.  This leads to the scenes concerning the Peace Dome Mandala.  This image represents the systematic sequence of thought that produces peace.  The dreamer is understanding how all the aspects of self are moving rhythmically in this direction.  Significant in her understanding of this is the conscious aspect, NA.

In the face of putting these pieces together, the aspect symbolized by PM becomes the focus of the dream again.

The interpretation hinges on whether PM is deemed by the dreamer as a superconscious aspect or a conscious aspect of self.  If she is superconscious the remainder of the dream indicates the dreamer’s rejection of this part of self.  There is something to be learned here that the dreamer is resisting.  She doesn’t want to face it, and vacillates between being willing to do so and refusing.  This is the heart of the dream message.

The dreamer now gets to look at three different attitudes about this learning.

  1. Through BC, the superconscious aspect who knows what is to be done and why.
  2. Through ML, the conscious aspect willing to receive this learning.
  3. Through IN, the conscious aspect that sees purpose in the learning.

The IN aspect experiences the learning.  The frozen water symbolizes the dreamer’s unwillinglyness to expand conscious thinking.  This makes IN’s comment about neutralizing the emotional charge more meaningful.  This part of self has gone through the experience which leads to the close of the dream where the dreamer claims her need to develop purpose in the conscious mind.  Doing so puts the dreamer in alignment with her superconscious mind.

The entire dream can be seen as an Oracle of Delphi experience for this dreamer.  She is experiencing the reality of the edict “know thy self”.

/bcThe dream is also worth considering in light of the dreamer’s knowledge of projecting to the Peace Dome.  Weighing the events there in light of the dream is illuminating and helps to separate the elements of inner level experience from the dream message sent to the dreamer by her own subconscious mind..
