4th Dreamer's Reports

new reports will be posted regularly in the coming weeks

DREAMER:  Male, 41, dentist, married with one child

LUCIDITY FACTOR

            Level 2

DREAM REPORT

I was at college in the dining area.  A* (my wife) was sitting across from me and was smoking.  DC (professor) was seated to her left and was trying to let her know the absurdity of smoking by also smoking.  Amy was amused but did not formally acknowledge DC.  This dream was not lucid.

The second dream

I was trying to fall asleep in the dream so that I could have a lucid dream for the experiment.  I noticed that it was now after ten and I was very disappointed to not have had a lucid dream.  I asked my wife if she had a lucid dream and she said no.  When I awoke from this dream it was about 8:30, I tried to fall back asleep but did not succeed.  I was not lucid in this dream as well.

DREAM STATE

Two dreams recalled, neither lucid.

DREAM CONTENT

Dream one is addressing the dreamer’s use of energy and how this affecting subconscious and superconscious minds.  There is a way the dreamer is using energy that he sees as disconnected, not needed, “absurd”.  The conscious mind and physical body owe their existence to the lifeline provided through the inner minds.  The chain moves from superconscious mind to subconscious mind to conscious mind.  This movement of life force, or chi, sustains all our outer powers from physical movement and breath to our thoughts themselves.  For this dreamer the flow of energy is viewed as tainted in some way.  An example of this could be an inner desire to change that is for some reason not coming to fruition, less than what was expected.  For the dreamer to experience a free flow of chi, he will want to look at how he is returning energy back into mind in the form of understandings from the experiences he chooses.  He might want to ask himself, “How can the choices I make better serve a higher purpose?”

Dream two indicates a pre-lucid dream condition.  Dreamers who desire to experience more of mind than the average or norm sometimes experience a crossing-over of physical experiences and subphysical experience.  In this dream, the dreamer goes to sleep with the intention of having a lucid dream.  Symbolically this indicates the dreamer’s desire to consciously understand his experiences.  The dream message informs the dreamer of his progress.  A complete idea of what he desires has yet to be formed.  Until it is the subconscious mind cannot fulfill it.

This experience is most helpful for the dreamer who wants to produce a lucid dreaming experience.  It is valuable feedback letting the dreamer know his desire is being noted and the need is for clearer conscious images of that desire.  Focusing on the tip of your finger for ten minutes each day aid the dreamer to become conscious, for it creates a pattern of thought whereby the dreamer can see his hand, awaken to the reality that he is dreaming, and become lucid to the action of the dream.
