Dreams reflect our consciousness 24-48 hours before the dream.  This dream is saying that you have purposefully changed a habitual way of thinking.  This reflects control and direction of your mind rather than letting the brain-body-ego connection dictate what actions you take during your day.  What this means is that there are times when you fall into habitual thinking/acting.  It is as if you are going through the motions of life and are asleep, as indicated by being asleep in your dream.

Do you know what you thought and felt before making this change?  Examining your consciousness at that time will be helpful.  Once you recognize the way to cause mental change you can reproduce that anytime you need to.

BLACK DOG

I've had many dreams in the past involving dogs, all kinds and sizes of dogs.

In this recent dream, there was one black dog that I encountered twice with a man I don't know in real life but whom I seem to be familiarized with in the dream. It seems as if I knew him or was dating him. His dog would come up to me, it would seem fine at first, then it gets close enough to bite, it wasn't a serious bite but more of a scratch. This happened a second time in the dream where it was on a leash and the guy was trying to restrain the dog.

My other dreams involving dogs in the past were mostly dogs being nearby and me being scared of them. Never been chased by one though, only seen them nearby. One time, I had a small white dog bite (a small bite) my toe. The bites never seen that serious in my dreams, they seem like small bites, more like scratches but I'm usually shocked and/or scared.

Animals in dreams represents habits we have, compulsive ways of thinking or acting.  The dream indicates a habit that has the potential for harming you, although not seriously.  The man holding onto the leash in the dream reflects a part of your inner mind, one that has a degree of control over the habit.  This could be something like a tendency to overeat at times, with a sense of knowing that this is not good for you and gaining some control over this tendency.

The inner resolve to control needs to be brought forth into your conscious mind.  This will aid you to make more productive choices with awareness throughout your day.

NEW MONEY

In my dream present, me and my 13-yr old daughter.  She was laying on the bed, the bed and sheets was my old bed. Sheets red satin, she tells me look mommy, what I made from work.  A $20 dollar bill, a $30 dollar bill, I told her show me that bill I've never seen a $30 dollar bill before?  She replied, its the new money.  Than she had $5's and $1's but they bill had 05 and 01, again she said its the new bill.  Than she handed me coins, it has the number 15 for 15 cents and the same with the penny it had 3 for three cents.  Again, she said its the new money.  The clock buzzer in the dream went off, the time was 7:11, when we got in the car the clock in the car read 7:11, than she said, mom I need to stop at the 7:11 before you drop me off at grandma. I was awoken by my telephone ringing, when I looked at the clock on my cell phone it was 7:11.   I remembered the dollar bills but could not remember the numbers o n the gold coins.

On Friday, 6/20/08 I approached a co-worker for help on a work matter (I never mentioned my dream to anyone), I remember approaching her desk, saying "hi" got a minute. Next thing I remember her laughing asking me what was wrong with me?  When I asked, why is she asking? She said, I stood in front of her desk like a robot, repeating with a glaze look on my face " the number of the coins are 15 and 3"... the other co-worker was laughing and said, yeah - you looked and sounded like a robot.  We all laughed, but I immediately went and wrote the numbers down.   6/22/08, I had a dream that showed a red & white sign similar to a stop sign color, but the sign was square with the words "DO NOT STOP" ..... What does it mean? Are they related?

The numbers in our dream can be understood and interpreted using the science of numbers, also known as numerology.  This dream describes a restful state of consciousness where you are examining your thoughts and ideas of you own value.  How is your creativity, reasoning, and individuality affecting your self value?  Do you consider your self valuable?  Have you recently changed your image of your own worth through a specific project or creation?  Are you feeling more powerful as a result?

To help you understand the relativity of the value being noted through your dream and your life, identify the primary characteristic of your daughter.  In the dream, she is the one who has earned the money.  So the value being pointed out to you is related to the quality she represents within you.  Is she determined to accomplish goals?  Does she have a type of magnetism that draws other people toward her?  However you identify her will lead you to identify some developments that are occurring within your own consciousness.

Studying number pictures along with and as a part of your dreams will change your life.  The Dreamers Dictionary by Dr. Barbara Condron would aid you greatly in understanding your dreams.

BRILLANT RAY OF LIGHT

I was standing on the shore facing the ocean. A woman was standing about 30 feet in front of me right at the water's edge. She motioned for me to approach her. I did. She took my hand and walked me about 4 feet into the water. She took water in her hands and poured it over me several times, then put both of my hands into the water. At the same time, a large wave came into shore and as it receded it pulled energy from my body. I had the sense that negative energy was leaving my body. I lost my sense of balance and became disoriented. When finally I felt settled again, I was standing at what I understood to be the center of my being. There was a single intensely brilliant ray of light shining through my body from the crown of my head to my feet. I understood that the light extended beyond my physical body even though I couldn't see it. The woman helped me to line my body up with the light, and when I did, I  felt absolute perfect stillness. I understood that this is in fact reality. We are at our core, the world is at it's core absolute, perfect stillness. There is no need for anything. Everything is perfect as it is. Everything else that we experience in life is a form of illusion.

Dreams like this change history.  This is your story, your life, reflected back to you in your dream.  Water represents conscious life experience.  The woman is a conscious aspect of yourself that is aiding you to experience greater awareness within your life and remove any negativity so that you can experience and know fulfillment.  Some experience you immersed yourself in the day before was the stimulus to recognize your own awareness as being complete and whole.

The question now is how are you going to use this dream?  Who needs to know what you know and how can you share this wealth of wisdom and truth?  Offering this education to others as well as living every moment of everyday in this awareness will produce the greatest fulfillment for yourself and be the most beneficial to humanity.  You may be interested in the School of Metaphysics.  Check out www.som.org for contact information and branch locations.

DOGS ON THE COURSE

In the dream, I am on what appears to be the putting green of a golf course.  I don't know why, but I know in the dream that the houses surrounding the green are low-income housing.  Every house has a dog at the door (all different), and some have the vague impression of people.  As soon as I have the feeling of fear, the dogs begin to encircle me and I know that I am in danger.  The largest dog, a mastiff, makes his its approach first.  I am now on the ground underneath the dog, and it taunts me with small nips on my right hand.  The next thing I know, a doberman steps forward, growling at the mastiff.  The mastiff is amused by this at first, and continues to taunt/bite me.  Eventually, the doberman manages to scare the larger dog away.  The next thing I know, I am walking up the grass toward steps that lead to a cityscape.  I am accompanied by an ex-girlfriend that I cared deeply about.  In reality, th e relationship ended abruptly, but in the dream, there are no feelings of hostility.  For some reason she wants to reconcile with me.  I am very hesitant, but can feel myself being persuaded.  The walking has led us to an apartment in a building I can only describe as slightly futuristic.  The atmosphere is like dusk, and the colors are very red/pink/and orange.  I cannot see the sun, but I can see very bright clouds.  The dream then becomes very hazy.  Acquaintances make fleeting appearances, but the images do not linger for more than a few seconds.  My twin sister makes one such appearance.  I cannot remember what she says, but I have a slightly ominous feeling.  I do not recall my ex-girlfriend and I having sex during the dream, but I have the feeling that it has occurred.  Then I wake up.

The dream indicates movement that is occurring within yourself.  The movement is occurring on multiple levels including self value and inner connectedness.  There is also a stimulus to become more purposeful in thought and action, however this stimulus is habitual rather than being awake and making choices with awareness.

An example of this might be a tendency toward isolation in activity, yet there are ways in which you are leading people through projects at work.  Did you know that you can cause growth within yourself through making purposeful choices?  You can become a better communicator by choosing to practice communication and improve yourself with every interaction.  You can learn patience through driving in heavy traffic.  This brings greater meaning and depth to experiences you are already involved in.

Becoming awake in this way opens the mind to possibilities never imagined before and to a depth of inner connectedness that results in greater harmony in waking life.  An excellent book to read is The Purpose of Life by Daniel Condron.  This can be ordered through www.som.org.

BARN-CRAZY

I had a dream that everyone in a really small town had to leave and go to a barn.  This old woman and I were the only ones left behind and she said we should go gather up stuff that people left behind.  We went to this house and she said that if I saw anything that I wanted, grab it.  So I was going through the dirty laundry and when I dumped it out of the hamper, this premature baby came out, and I picked it up and she said that we had to go because the men were coming after us and they had guns and if they caught us out of the barn, they would shoot us.  So we left the house and when we got to the barn, the men were outside waiting for us.  The old woman took the baby, and I was left behind to fight them.  Well, my teeth started falling out in these big chunks that ordinarily would never fit in my mouth, but I just kept spitting them out.  Then this guy with green hair came along and saved me, but ende d up killing himself in the process.  After that, I went back into the barn and my mother-in-law handed the baby back to me and said it looked hungry and told me to go to her van and I would find a bottle and food.  I found the bottle, then I looked away to find the food, and when I looked back, the bottle was gone.  It kept happening over and over again.  When I would find one thing, I'd lose another while trying not to get shot.  IT WAS SO FRUSTRATING!

After that, I woke up.

There are parts of yourself that cause you to experience extra stress and expend more energy than necessary.  In fact, this dream is showing that your level of productivity is not where you want it to be as shown by the bottle going missing.

The frustration you experience at the end of the dream occurs because in your waking life you begin to provide what is needed for your ideas to grow and develop and then become distracted.  Most likely the distractions involve other people, either your thoughts about other people or conversations with others that are no longer productive.  Either way, it is your expression that needs to be cleaned up.

The way you express, the thoughts you have determines what you can produce in life.  If you want to become more influential through gaining a promotion, then you must begin to speak and act as though you already have the responsibility the promotion entails.  The old ways do not support the new ideas you have.

You have outgrown the old ways and need to invest in acquiring the knowledge and experience in order to produce the ideas you are forming.  If you need additional skills to have a better job then get training so you learn more and can give more.

All of the men with guns are the parts of you that want to cause change.  You are avoiding this change, and in that losing your ability to assimilate your experiences as shown by the teeth.  In the process of avoiding the change you are also attempting to nourish and support a new idea about yourself.

Here are a couple keys to experience the joy, excitement, peace, and fulfillment that is rightfully yours: identify what parts of yourself that you DO want to change.  This could be as simple as being more accepting and loving with yourself as you perform activities rather than critical and judgmental about your performance.  As you identify what you want to change into and then go about making thoughts and actions match you will find the joy of CREATING CHANGE rather than avoiding it.

To make thoughts and actions match you need mental discipline.  This discipline is based in learning how to use your mind by developing your attention, concentration, memory, and listening skills.  As you do so, you will find that it is easier to cause change, learn, and grow from your experiences. Concentration exercises would be very helpful in being able to move toward the goals that you have.  There is a School of Metaphysics located in Louisville, Kentucky.  Here is the link to SOM centers and contact information.

HER NAME IS LEEANN

I remember I am holding a newborn girl, an older lady that I don't know who she is, asked me what is her name and I repsonded Leeann. We are the only two in side a room somewhere that I don't recognize the room or where it's at, and then I woke up.

female/TX, United States

Response

This dream reflects the recognition and identification of a new creative idea in your life, because newborns represent new ideas in dream language.  The unknown elements (the old lady you don’t know and the room that’s unfamiliar) indicate a need to become more aware of where the new idea came from, how it was created, and its function in your life.

OUT OF THE BODY, REUTRN TO HEALTH

Recently, Ive been rather ill. Ive been vomiting, suffering from dizziness, and now fainting spells. Ive done every test posssible at the hospital, and they think I'm suffering from anxiety attacks. I went to bed around 8pm, and was unsuccessful sleeping. My body was in so much pain! I took two advil, and the pain still persisted. Finally, I got up and went to sleep with my 3yr old son.

As soon as I fell asleep, I felt my body rising. I was floating in the air looking down on my son sleeping. The dream didnt last long, within minutes, I was awake. However, I awoke with no pains at all. It was as if I had died and someone healed my body and sent me back to Earth. I'm a little skeptical so I havent mentioned my dream to anyone. Please give me some insight as to why this happened.

What you’re describing is what’s called an out-of-body experience.  In the process of sleeping, the consciousness and attention naturally disconnect from the physical body and becomes redirected towards the dream body, or etheric body.  That’s why we people have experiences in dreams that seem life-like, or similar to being awake.

The experience of feeling the sensation of rising out of your body and being able to see your son from an aerial position is a more direct experience of your consciousness disconnecting from your body.  Congratulations for having this experience, for it’s a direct experience of understanding that you are more than a physical body.  It’s possible that your pain stimulated the experience, that the situation became so painful that you experienced an uncontrolled out-of-body experience just so that the body could heal itself.  Have you ever had the experience of having a  sickness, a bruise, or a cut on the body that seemed to get worse overtime, meaning that the pain stayed and wouldn’t go away?  Much of the time, it’s our own attention on the sickness on the health problem that allows it to persist, because whatever we put our attention on grows.  In this case, the spontaneous out-of-body experience served as a catalyst to free the attention from the body long enough for the body to heal itself.

In both dreams, the need for conscious awareness of your thinking is present.  In the first dream, there’s a baby with no arms.  In dream language, babies represent new ideas while arms represent purpose.  Since the baby didn’t have any arms in the dream, it represents the presence of a new idea that you have created at the time of the dream without knowing its purpose or function in your life.

In the second dream, there’s a struggle within the mind (as indicated by the fighting) to “stay awake” so-to-speak, or maintain awareness and mentally alert.  The presence of the sleeping gun and the struggle with it indicates this.  In both instances, the practice of daily concentration exercises for ten minutes a day would aid greatly in developing awareness in both your inner and outer environments: within the mind and in your physical surroundings.  Focusing on the tip of your finger, the second hand on a clock, or even an object on your choice are all ways that you can practice concentration.  It’s the action of redirecting the attention to the object of focus every time you notice your attention wandering that strengthens the mind enough over time to become aware of your thoughts and your surroundings to a higher degree.

YELLOW AND BLACK SHOES

Hi,

I had a dream where I was buying a pair of yellow shoes from my friend and he gave me a pair of black ones too but didn’t charge me. The store thought I stole them though.

What does that mean?

Thank you!

Sometimes you have more than you originally realized.  Appreciate your abundance.  This dream is about the value you place on the expression of you spiritual foundation.  As you give more attention to what you know, how you have come to be who you are and what you have to give others, your sense of value and appreciation for who you are and where you have come from will increase.
