BIG WOODEN BOAT

My Guy Friend and I were sitting at an outside Cafe having lunch--there was a white fence between the table and the grass going to the water--it was located on a Finger of a Lake with houses, boat docks and boats parked at the docks.

An extremely large unfinished wood boat  appeared huge when it passed us, came in and I commented that it would never have enough room to turn around and was going to have to back out--It turned around and hit several boats pushing several out of the water-the water had been calm when the boat came into the cove  but when turning quickly it caused some wakes--it picked up speed--When it passed us I noticed that their was a police boat coming out of a boathouse across the way with the sirens and lights on and going after the large wood boat--I then woke

This dream is about you, the people, places and things in the dream are parts of you.  There is an organization, such as a club or school or team that is represented by this huge unfinished wooden boat.  The organization is in motion and incomplete, there is a whole lake of experience for it to move in and yet you perceive that there is not enough room in your life for this organization to fit.  It would be helpful to recognize that this club or team or school you have involved your Self in is a work in progress and will require you to directed in relation to the organization you are part of.  Realizing the Universal Truth that thought is cause and we create and are responsible for the quality of our own life will aid you to accept your part in directing this boat into shallow waters.

SNAKES IN THE GRASS

I was walking in the backyard (around the side of the house) in my childhood home in California and saw a snake skin (I have recently seen these in real life in my yard in Texas - only smaller) and I as I began to walk through the side yard there were more skins then a live snake and as I walked - more and more snakes in the grass until I was walking (tip toeing) over a blanket of snakes.

Response

In dream language, animals represent habits.  Snakes in a dream represent the habitual use of our creative energies.  The progression from seeing a snake skin to tip-toeing on a blanket of snakes towards the end of the dream indicates that you’ve become much more consciously aware over time of your own creativity.  This started out with traces (snake skins) that eventually led to direct experience (tip-toeing on snakes).  As indicated by the presence of your childhood house, this is most likely a type of creativity that has been dormant for a while that is now coming to the surface.  As you continue to work with your own creativity, your familiarity and ability to wield it will become greater.  As you make it a goal to create something everyday, whether it’s a poem, a greater relationship with another, or taking steps towards becoming your ideal self, your life will open to the fulfillment of self-discovery.  You will know who you are and your capabilities through your creative experiences.

LUCID DREAMING 101

I don't necessarily have an exact dream, persay. I have a type of dreaming I need help understanding. First, I understand lucid dreams to be the ones where you know you are dreaming. I have these at least once a month. When they first occured I would attempt to control them, but I found it is harder than it seems. My sorroundings would crumble... The harder I tried the more the dream would seem to demateralize. Even in dreamland, it is hard to manifest what you desire to see or do. Now when it occurs I attempt to sway them a little insted of changing them. My lucid dreams usually occur in malls or similar busy settings. When I realize I am dreaming, I attemt to manifest people, as it seems like an easy nudge to introduce someone (charachter) into a dream. I try to have some good looking stranger walk around a corner. Better than having the dream  crumble away... so I seek out controlled sex dreams as the sences are so hightened for me in dreams. Everything tastes so much better... feels so much better, I would have to say beyond the waking sences abilities to percieve.Whenever I try to manifest a good looking stranger all I find when I walk around in my dream around are people who are unsuitable. Even in a huge mall like place. I am not that picky, they are all very unsuitable. Am I missing the point, misuising the ability given to me? I only attemt this as it seems to be the easiest thing for me manifest without the dream crumbling, and it's very stimulating if I suceed. I am in a long term, but very happy relationship if that makes a difference on any subconcious possibilities.

It’s important to understand the function of dreams and why they occur.  Dreams are messages from the subconscious mind in the form of pictures that give feedback on the previous day’s thoughts, feelings, and actions.  People, places, and things in a dream represent parts of the dreamer in some way, whether that is a particular state of mind, a quality that the dreamer was exhibiting during the previous day, or the type of thoughts the dreamer was thinking.  The dreams are a result of the experiences from the previous day.  In other words, the qualities of a dream reflect the qualities of the waking life.  If the dreamer feels overwhelmed in the waking life, dreams of getting caught in a flood and/or drowning can occur.  If the dreamer experiences expansive thinking and consciousness during the day, they’ll more likely have dreams being in mansions.

What’s also important to understand is the effect of controlling the dreams on the waking life.  Just as dreams reflect the state of our waking life, manipulating the dreams, whether that’s changing weather patterns or seeking sexual encounters, it will have an effect on waking life.  This type of control reflects a type of power within the mind that can produce very beneficial results during dreams.  Understanding the Universal Language of Mind, or the language of dreams is highly recommended for this type of work.  In other words, endeavor to understand what you’re causing through the changes you make in your dreams.

Making yourself available to immersing yourself in mind education is highly recommended.  Find a teacher who can teach you how the mind works, how to strengthen it, and how to use its capabilities to enrich your life in responsible and freeing ways.  The development of your mind will give you the mental strength required to achieve the level of dream lucidity you desire.  The School of Metaphysics offers a comprehensive coursework that helps strengthen the mind in a systematic way.  Go to www.som.org and click on the locations link to find a center near you.

MISCARRIAGE IN IRELAND

I dreamt I had a miscarraige even though I'm not pregnant and male friend I haven't seen in a long helped me.

Dreams of babies reflect our relationship to new ideas.  A baby does not have its full identity developed.  That takes time.  In the same manner a new thought isn’t fully integrated into ourselves automatically.  It requires growth, concentration, nurturing, and nourishment.

Consider new ideas you have had.  See which ones are worth pursuing.  Then pursue those that are valuable to you with your directed mind.

KILLING A SON

My name is K*.  I submitted the dream yesterday regarding (and it is painful for me to type this) killing my son.I did not mention how I believed my daughter was in the drivers seat of the car.  I was outside of the car on the passengers side.the reason for me writing today.... My daughter called when she woke up yesterday morning and told me she had a bad dream.  She told me she was with her brother and father in the car and that they were going on a trip.  She said they were stopping in my neighborhood before they went.  She said I was in my car and they were following me.  She told me I was mad.

She did not give me anymore details.  I found some similarities in our dream.  The car, her brother, me angry (?can only remember the axe, not the emotion other than having to put this person out of his/her misery and maybe some guilt that I did it??????)  and when you pull into my neighbor hood there is definitely field (as I mentioned in my dream description).  I hope she did not dream the same thing I did.....

It is universally true that everyone and everything is connected in the Universe.  In the School of Metaphysics, our parent non-for profit organization, we teach this as the Universal Law of Relativity.  Physical science now has proven this with the study of quantum physics.

Your dream is pertaining to your mind and how you use your mind.  It is related to how you use your mind in relationship to others, your children included.  In a dream death represents a mental change.  So killing your son in the dream means that you have changed a subconscious part of yourself.  Is this a desired change?  If not then realize that it is through your thoughts that change occurs.  Becoming aware of your thoughts, realizing that you can choose any type of thought, and knowing how to upgrade negative anger thinking into productive positive thinking will help the greatest in relationship to your dream.

THE DEEP TWISTER

early this morning i dreamt that a twister was coming thru my neighborhood.the sky got really black and gray. people were running to get away and me, my boyfriend, and my 2 son's ran to someones house and beat on the basement window until they let us in. we were all sitting on a couch in the basement and looked out the window and seen the twister ripping houses apart. then we looked and seen one 10 times bigger and it was blowing up every thing in sight and killing everyone. it was headed towards us so i was lying on the floor on top of my kids, my boyfriend was on the couch and wouldnt help me block the kids,i was screaming at him to help me to lie on top my son while i was on the other, i remember just waiting to die, scared to death, praying to god to save us then a minute later it just stopped and went away.

does this mean a twister is really coming and it was a warning or is it something more deep?  it really freaked me out and i cant stop thinkg about it. it was a very clear and vivid dream, i even woke up in the middle, scared, then fell back to sleep only to find myself back in the same dream.please help!

Dreams are deep.  They come from the subconscious mind, which is deeply below the conscious mind.  Dreams can be precognitive.  Dreams are always relevant to you the dreamer the day or two before you had the dream.

In this way, this dream is reflecting your thinking.  Thinking, or more accurately thoughts, is represented by wind.  A tornado is uncontrolled strong wind that destroys what is in its path.  Therefore, the tornado symbolizes a movement within your thoughts that has been out of control resulting in confusion within your waking mind.

Learning how to slow your thoughts down, stilling the mind, and then choosing your thoughts will be very helpful for you.  A new book that is available in July called The Still Mind Present Moment Open Heart will be worth getting.  You can order it at www.som.org by clicking on the bookstore link.

Dreams are a testament to our connectedness as a species.  When we dream we have the potential to meet real people that live hours away from us in places either familiar or unfamiliar along with other physically impossible things.

If you were really speaking with Tiger Wood’s father his mouth would not move, it would be a telepathic conversation.  Did his mouth move?  Whether or not that man actually spoke to you is not the focus of the dream’s message.  This dream is another attempt from your soul, or subconscious mind, to stimulate you.  Why?

To create a situation where you will take seriously developing your intuitive faculties.  The subconscious mind didn’t get its point across when you dreamt of family members or friends, so it had to go to extremes, to a place that you couldn’t ignore.  This part of yourself knows what will be most fulfilling, so listen to it: developing your mind’s potential will be the most fulfilling experience you can have.

Did you know that the conscious mind, the part of you that is awake and experiences day to day life and that is reading this is only one of seven levels of your total mind?  Did you know that you can learn how to use the other six levels?  Click on www.som.org and find the year correspondence course and see if you are ready to explore yourself and understand.

In addition to the strong stimulus for understanding the inner workings of your mind, the dream indicates a need for you to move toward goals. Remaining passive or stagnant in life, being in a rut as you have described it will require making choices and acting upon them.  There is much you can learn about you through becoming more active in life.  Interacting with people affords you the opportunity to understand how you communicate, the experience of compassion or humor.  Learning is caused through the choices we make day by day.

VISITS WITHIN THE MIND

My daughter's 11th birthday was yesterday- June 20th. Her father died this March, he hung himself.  We were not together, I married another, but I always loved him

Last night I think he visited me, he was talking to me- but not in words.  Saying that I could visit him this way, and I asked if I have to die to see him again- he "said" no, that I just have to do this...meaning visiting in dreams with him. He was happy , and playfull.A couple weeks ago I dreamt I was in a building, very white and clean, and he was there sleeping. "They" (people I never saw  but just understood were communicating with me) said I need to leave him alone, that he was just sleeping.  I felt like I needed to get out and leave him alone, and spent the rest of the dream trying to escape the building.

Your dream experiences are great examples of what is possible in the realm of dreaming.  While dreams universally offer a means for the dreamer’s subconscious mind to give feedback on the previous day’s experiences, they also provide a means for the dreamer to have what are called inner level experiences: direct awareness of deeper levels of the mind.  In this case, dreams make visitations from loved ones entirely possible through the power of subconscious mind.  The subconscious mind, being deeper than the conscious waking mind that most people are accustomed to, transcends time and space allowing experiences like dream visitation possible.

The key to your experiences is the presence of mind-to-mind communication found in your dreams, or speaking without words.  When this occurs in a dream, it’s a strong indicator of a visitation dream.  While commonly experienced with loved ones that have passed away, this can also be experienced through between those who are both living.  While our physical senses tell us that people appear separate from one another, the connection and relation between people is more pronounced through the experience of subconscious mind.  The practice of mental exercises that harmonize the conscious and subconscious minds, like concentration and meditation, help prepare the mind to cause experiences like these to occur with more frequency if the desire to do so is present.

In your dream, you were told that he was sleeping and needed to be left alone.  Just as sleep aids people to process and assimilate experiences in the waking life, his sleeping shows that he was in a process of assimilation as well --- quite common and needed for those who have recently passed away.  As a universal dream message for you, this represents an inner need for you to give yourself time and space to assimilate your own experiences.

There is something you’ve left behind and something you see the purpose for, and so you are grabbing hold of.  With everything you are experiencing you need purpose, you need to be able to see how an idea or a particular way of thinking is going to benefit you in order for you to hold on to this idea or thinking pattern long enough for it to grow up, for it to develop.  The motorbike shows the balance you have in moving through the down-pour that is your current experience of life.

KIDNAPPING POLICE AND FIRE BREATHING FIRE FIGHTERS

I was walking out onto my porch to find a sheet hanging close to my front door. When I pulled it back, a man was standing behind it and spoke a single word.He had very strange eyes, and I jumped when I saw him. I couldn't quite understand what he said, but as soon as he spoke, the door on the duplex next to me swung open, and two men ran out with a hog-tied police officer and proceeded to throw him into the back seat of a muscle car and sped away.Across the street, in a fenced parking lot was a cheering crowd of pierced and tattooed people. Coming quickly toward the house, from the opposite direction of the car with the policeman was a firetruck which then sprayed my house with gasoline and then everything was on fire. I remember a clear voice in my head repeating the question, "What's important to you?", and I was looking at an antique cedar chest that was in my living room as I ran through the hous e, past a wall of aquariums full of water, and pushed my daughter out the window to safety. About a year later, my life took a tumultuous turn when I met a man who introduced me to a small mountain town I'd never heard of,which goes by the name of the word the man spoke in my dream.

The dream reflects waking thoughts and attitudes from 24-48 hours prior to having the dream. This particular dream is bringing your attention to how you perceive certain situations that have occurred during your waking life. It indicates areas where it would be helpful to become more disciplined, many different ways of thinking going on within your mind and potential expansion in your life and consciousness. Ultimately though, it is important to answer the simple question, what is important to you.

Your daughter is important to you, more importantly, everything your daughter represents within your Self is important to you.  She represents an idea or part of yourself that is still developing and you want to protect this idea from the expanding thoughts that are occurring within your mind. That is why you pushed her out the window to safety.

It has been said that a life without discipline is no life at all and that my friend is true.  No discipline, no control.  No control, no fulfillment.  Completing goals and becoming ideals is how we experience fulfillment and without control of our thoughts we can not make conscious choice to create.  Thought is cause and undisciplined mind is like weed infested garden where as a disciplined mind is like a well-tended garden that produces good fruit.  What ever you want in life you will need mental discipline to receive or achieve it.  The town name given in the dream is part of this dream message from your subconscious mind. The subconscious mind can run lines of probability and give the conscious mind precognitive messages such as this one.  This is just the beginning of the vast untapped resource that is the subconscious mind.  To learn more go explore our website www.som.org.
