I was at a Doctors office with my baby and while I was waiting, I looked out the window and saw dozens of tornadoes swirling and coming closer... but no one seemed to care. No sirens were going off and everyone was carrying on as usual. Well, I sat down in my dream for a little bit and got back up to see if sky had cleared up-- it hadn't now there were even more. (And somehow, even thoug I live in Omaha, I was in Idaho and watching all these tornadoes come across the snake river plain towards me. I am originally from Arco, Idaho.) Finally the sirens went off and I started to see fire trucks drive around and I asked the doctor, who was a woman, if I could go somewhere with my baby. She smiled a little indulgently at me and showed me where the basement was. I went down there alone with my baby, since the doctor thought I was acting silly, and I felt I was safe. Then I woke up.

The presence of tornadoes in your dream combined with indifference from the people in your dream and your movement into a basement paint the picture of your overall state of mind. Images in dreams reflect the state of your mind, your thoughts, emotions, and actions from the previous day. Since the element of air represents thought, the swirling often unpredictable and chaotic patterns of tornadoes symbolize the rapid movement of thoughts that are associated with confusion.
Have you ever had the experience of trying to figure out a solution to a problem in your life that you thought of so much throughout the day that it consumed your thinking? The growing number of tornadoes in your dreams matches this type of thinking. At first, the problem doesn’t seem threatening, shown by the apparent calm and casual stance that people in your dream first had. Then there’s a realization that there’s something that needs to be addressed. This is where you ask the doctor where to go with your baby. The response in the dream involves going into a basement. Buildings in dreams represent the state of your mind, while different rooms in the dream represent different parts of the mind. Basements represent the unconscious part of the mind, so your movement into the basement shows that there’s a type of resignation or choice to go unconscious with the need to respond to the tornadoes.
Since the dream starts in the doctor’s office, which represents a state of mind of healing, your overall mental, emotional, and physical health is in a place of being healthy. Perhaps the calm of the people and surroundings juxtaposed by your growing alarm reflects a type of confusion that is of your own making, something that isn’t necessary yet present and growing. Look for places in your life that stimulates undue worries, fears, or doubts in your thinking. Worries are merely using the imagination to image what you don’t want to occur. If you find this happen, begin affirming what you do want to occur to visualizing it and stating out loud over and over through the day, until your worry dissipates.
Other practices to consider when you find yourself thinking a lot about a certain topic that lacks resolve is to start expressing your thoughts outwardly, whether that’s through talking with someone about them so you can work out your thoughts or writing them down through journaling. Regardless of what the subject of your confusion might be, both actions (talking aloud your thoughts or journaling) can help you work your thoughts out and “calm the tornadoes,” so to speak, by given your thoughts direction. If you decide to talk to someone, ask someone you trust who has a strong capacity to merely listen while you work out your thoughts. If you decide to journal, keep journaling about the topic until you reach a point where your writing comes to a stop. Both these processes will help you identify all your thoughts, which will give you clarity in your thinking which will provide you with the means of gaining resolution.
AND THE HEAVENS OPENED
I dreamt I was laying on my back in a field watching the clouds roll by. Then a hole opened in the clouds and inside it I saw a large white house, as I watched it divided itself into 3 smaller houses then the hole closed up. A few moments later another opening appeared in the clouds and in it I saw a man and a woman side by side but a standing a few feet apart. The opening then closed. Then again, an opening in the clouds appeared and out of it fell a very large, muscular, male black horse. He fell from the sky towards the earth with his back towards the ground and his hooves toward the sky. He writhed and twisted and was obviously VERY scared and freaked out. No matter how hard he tried he could not right himself and I lay on my back in awe and watched him fall to the earth and he landed on his back some distance away with a loud sickening thud and all was quiet. I stood up t o see if I could see him but as I began to look around I woke from the dream feeling it had meaning someplace and I shouldnt ignore it.

Your dream is about some experiences you had the day before looking deeper into yourself. Clouds are a representation of the veil that separates us from Superconscious mind, what some people call their highest potential. Each of the three images revealed to you have significance. First is the house, which represents an attractive state of mind. This is an attitude or way of thinking that appeared to be pure (white in color). This may be something like joy, or peace, or serenity in any situation. Dividing into three shows that this quality can diffuse into multiple states of mind. People in our dreams represent parts of our mind. People of the same sex are parts from our waking conscious mind. The opposite sex represents our intuitive subconscious mind. There was a noticeable separation between these two divisions of your mind. This shows a need for concentration. Practicing concentration that can result in the entrainment or establishing and strengthening the connection between the two minds.
Up to this point in the dream you have been laying on your back. This is showing the way you had been observing without acting. It took a horse falling out of the sky to stimulate action. Horses represent our willpower. It seems clear that the horse did not survive the fall. Death is change so it would be beneficial to examine the change that occurred with the way you use your willpower. There was nothing under the horse to support it at that high level. To use your will power at this high of a level needs a foundation. This foundation is mental discipline. This would best be cultivated by practicing concentration everyday. The horse was black. This is showing a need to examine the motivation for using the willpower because there was some impurity. When you see something in your life you desire to cultivate or change in your life it would be good to realize what it is, illuminate how it will aid you, then take action.

There are times throughout the day prior to having this dream that you lost your focus and drifted into states of mind that were ungrounded. During these times, your mind was likely drifting with no direction. You drifted far enough away mentally that the energies of your body became out of sync, affecting your capacity to use energies (breath) effectively.
SERVICE STATION
I've had the dream that i was at the local car dealership getting my car serviced and was talking to the man behind the counter. All of a sudden, i heard someone calling my name and when i turned around there was my ex-boyfriend's daughter standing there, with him and his son walking up behind her. I said hey to her and continued to give info to the service man. As they went into the waiting area i walked around outside in order to avoid being around them. The next thing i know, we are sitting in my car talking and something is said that makes me fly off the handle at him. I start yelling and telling him everything i wanted to tell him, but never had the chance to. During this i look over at him and his on the verge of tears. I've had this same dream but different situation to where he asks me to talk.

CRAZY MOM
Mother went insane, first some background info: I just 5 days ago against my will to Austin, TX. Because my parents thought I was "hanging with the wrong crowd" and for some reason they thought moving would be the answer. They told me a couple months ago about this and ever since then our relationship has been worse than it ever was.
I had a dream that my parents got divorced and I lived with my dad. (he is my favorite of my 2 parents) My dad ended up getting re-married and had another daughter which was my half sister i think, as my mom had my real brother and sister and had moved out of state. In the dream I came home from school and saw my dads arm bloody and bruised hanging out of the garage door and all the lights were off, with my mom's old old mini-van that she had a few years ago and sold parked out in front of the house. Immediately I started to panic, I ran around the house searching for my step mom and sister but nobody was anywhere to be found. So I looked into the car and there they were, both dead. As I looked behind me I saw my mom standing with a gun and maniacally laughing. Then all of a sudden she broke down in tears and started screaming "LOOK WHAT YOU'VE DONE" and shot me in the stomach.
The unexplainable part was when I woke up in the morning the spot where I had dreamed I was shot hu rt extremely bad and I couldn't even get out of bed for a few hours. I was hoping you could explain this to me

First thing it is important to realize that dreams tell us about ourselves. Every person place and thing in our dreams tells us about our thoughts and attitudes from the previous day. This dream is showing you that the day before you had this dream there was a need to focus on purpose. Purpose is the personal benefit that we receive from the activities we undertake. For instance, a purpose for a job may be to earn money, a purpose for meditation is to gain inner peace, or a purpose for buying a car is to gain a greater degree of physical freedom. In your dream this is represented by your father’s arm. It is described a bloody, since blood represents truth, there is a need for truth in your purpose. You mentioned moving to Austin. It is likely that this is where greater purpose is needed. We cannot always change the situations that we find ourselves in. One thing we can always choose is what we do with our minds. If you have moved to Austin you need to create a purpose, or personal benefit for being there. Maybe there was a way that you wanted to be different in the last city that you lived in. Maybe you wanted to make more friends, have the courage to talk to girls, or try something your friends in the other city might have given you a hard time for. This could be your opportunity to start fresh in some ways.
One other message from this dream is the fact that your mother blamed you at the end of the dream. Your mother in the dream represents a part of you, so there is a need to look at what, and whom, you are blaming. Packing everything up and moving to a new city is an extreme thing to do. If your parents decided that this course of action was needed, they must have seen something in your behavior or attitude that required an extreme solution. What part of this situation did you play? This is not about blaming yourself instead of your parents. This is about realizing and accepting your responsibility for how you contributed to this result. When we accept our responsibility for the situations created in our lives it empowers us because we now have the ability to cause a different experience in the future.
You said that your relationship with your parents is worse than it has ever been. Maybe the purpose you will choose for moving to Austin is to heal your relationship. Whatever your choice, it would help to improve your relationship if you realize that they made the decision based on love. If you think it was a big deal for you to move to a new city, place yourself in your parent’s shoes. I would bet it is at least a big a deal to them. I often got into trouble when I was a teenager, and it was not until years later that I could appreciate what my parents did for me. It may also help to realize that they are people too. We all try to do the best we can based on what we know. If you can forgive your parents and let go of the blame, your experience of your life will improve.
The reason your stomach hurt in the morning is a testimony to the importance of the message in the dream. The pain faded, and there was no physical injury. That is a very clear example of the power of thought. The reason that it hurt when you woke was to make sure that you would remember the dream and seek it’s meaning.
WHAT’S THAT COMING OUT OF MY STOMACH?!??
I dreamt I felt a burning/stinging sensation just under my belly button. When I lifted my shirt to investigate I saw something poking thru my skin, I pulled on it and I pulled out a cenipede that was still alive. I was mortified, and I swated the cenipede until it was no longer moving. Then, my stomach started burning again and everytime I squeezed that same spot, live worms started falling out on the floor. Someone else said, "Do you suppose you have a tape worm?" I replied, "Surely I wouldn't be this fat if I had a tape worm." I took the flyswatter and swatted the worms until they were dead, too. I have no idea what this means, it's rather creepy. What do you think?

Response
In dreams, animals represent habitual ways of thinking. Examining the characteristics of the animals that show up in your dreams, in the case the worms and centipede, can help identify what particular ways of thinking are being addressed in your dream. Since the reference to tape worms appears in your dream, then its likely that the worms and centipede were parasitical in nature. Parasites require a host for nourishment and shelter at the expense of the host. In this case, your stomach area is highlighted. Since the function of the stomach is to process food, and food represents knowledge in dreams, perhaps the centipede and worms represent a type of habitual thinking that takes away from the knowledge you gain throughout the day.
This can take the form of not appreciating each experience in life as a opportunity to learn something and therefore not gaining the knowledge that could be gained, or experiencing a scattering of attention to so many activities or projects in the life to the point of not seeing clearly the lessons that life brings. Whatever the case may be, your dream shows that you’re becoming somewhat aware of what those habits are, and there’s an attempt to cause change.
The practice of a daily concentration exercise for even minutes a day will aid greatly, for concentration is the ability to hold the mind steady on what you choose to hold it on, whether that’s the task at hand or appreciating every moment in life for an entire day. Set a timer for ten minutes and concentrate the tip of your finger, the second hand of a clock, or your own breathing. Whenever you notice your mind wandering, direct the attention back to the object of your choosing. The practice of directing your attention where you want it to go and holding it there will build mental skills that have an infinite amount of applications in your life. If you live close to Oklahoma City or Tulsa, call the School of Metaphysics centers in those cities for more information about classes that will aid in killing those undesired “centipedes and worms” in your thinking.
TRAPPED IN A CARNIVAL RIDE
When I was young, from my late childhood to early teens, I had a dream about 2 times a year, and it was a frightening dream that today at 31 years old still haunts me sometimes.
I was at a park, and there was a traveling carnival there. I rode all the rides but one, and I saved it til the very last ride of the day before we left. It is one of those rides where they spin you endlessly, in circles, I think they call it the scrambler now. When the ride stops, everyone is getting off, but I can't undo my lap belt. As the ride empties, a steel door starts to close in around the ride trapping me in. I am yelling to the ride operator that my lap belt is stuck and I cannot exit the ride. He acts as if he doesn't hear me and the door completely closes around the ride. The next thing I know I am waking up in a cage that is no bigger than a travel carrier for a dog. Someone that I cannot see their face, is bringing me a plate of food. As they open the door to the cage, I would lash out as hard as I could to hit them.
I would wake up from the dream after my hand has physically smashed against something like the wall or head board. I was so terrified in the dream that my physical being was lashing out in my sleep. I busted my knuckles so hard one time that I still have scars to this day. I have not had the dream in probably 15 years, but I can remember it like it happens every night, and the mental pictures still frighten me.

This dream message applies to the child and the teenager who you were, back over 15 years ago when you had this dream. Here’s what this dream was showing you at that time in your life.
The dream showed you how you were getting trapped in or trapped by an experience that was fun, perhaps addictively so. There was a desire to break free, perhaps to give your energies to something more substantial and lasting. The fun experience was like riding carnival rides. It was temporary fun that didn’t last, like a traveling carnival that ends and leaves town. When the temporary pleasure was over, kind of like after riding the last ride on the last day of a carnival, you found that you’re attached to that experience, demonstrated by having a stuck lap belt kept you strapped in to the scrambler ride.
You found you were not in control of your experience anymore, or your state of mind. This was shown in the dream by being in a place where you don’t want to be, and having things happen to you that were against what you wanted, despite your effort to get help or open your lap belt. The thing that had once been enjoyable ended up like a severely limiting prison that restricted your attention to one small area in your life. This might have been one specific experience in your life, or it could have been a generall pattern of how you experienced a lot of things.
There was the opportunity to learn from the experience, shown as a plate of food that was given to you. It was difficult for you to receive the learning from the experience, demonstrated through the lashing out at the person giving you’re the food.
If this had been my dream, I would look at the enjoyable experiences that were compulsively pursued because this actually limits freedom. I’d look for areas of severe disappointment, or sadness about something that had ended and then, strive to let go of attachments seek ways to direct life’s experiences. The learning is the real key to freedom.
BROTHER-IN-LAW’S MESSAGE
I dreamt last night of my recently passed brother-in-law.
He was trying to talk to me. I awoke 4 times in the night and walked around, went to the bathroom, was fully awake, went back to sleep and every time it was the same thing. Sometimes, there would be people around us and he got quiet, but then he was trying to say something to me, but I never got a resolution. Well, that I remember.
Weird thing is, I called my sister today just to check in and she says she too has been having nightmares about him and just last night, my niece was up all night with nightmares about him trying to talk to her. Is it possible that he is sending message? I don’t know what to think!
Female/,
Response
The key to understanding whether or not it is a visitation dream is by observing the way in which the communication occurs. Was your brother’s mouth moving? Or was he speaking to you without moving his mouth? If he was speaking without moving his mouth then more than likely you had a visitation dream.
Based upon the other information about your brother-in-law’s passing and other family members dreaming of him you can add to the likely hood that he was in fact sending a message.
Your experience isn’t uncommon. Dreams give human beings a daily opportunity to realize they are more than a physical body. When a person goes to sleep their body stays in the relative place they put it. Consciousness goes beyond the body, hence we remember these experiences as dreams.
If resolution is important to you write him a letter just like you would if he was living in another state. Write all the things that you feel you need to express to him for resolution and then pay attention to your dreams. It may be helpful to do this before retiring for the evening.
